Mkwiro Primary's wonderful world map

After months of dedicated work by countless volunteers, we have finally finished the world map at Mkwiro Primary school.  The picture takes up the whole end wall of the Standard 1 and 2 classroom block. Volunteers have spent literally hours painstakingly drawing the outline in pencil, followed by painting a black outline with sticks. All that was left was to fill in the countries, add in some world facts and voila, the map is finished.

The completed masterpiece

We wanted to pass on a huge thank you from Mkwiro Primary School to everyone who helped make this a success. The world map is just one more step towards creating a positive learning environment at the school, one of the goals of the three year development plan.
