Build, build, build!

Renovations, in particular an extension of the feeding area is now underway! The Mnarani Turtle Conservation Aquarium has planned and began implementing this extension of the feeding area of the natural lagoon in order to allow for more people to get involved with the feeding of the turtles.

The extension will also reinforce the feeding platform, making it much more stable and safer for anyone visiting the aquarium. The renovation is expected to be finished by the end of the week and at minimal costs; due to help from an avid supporter of the project from the local village.

This is just the first of a number of renovations planned for the weeks leading to the start of the high season in June, where the population of Zanzibar increases vastly. Keep up the good work guys and we all look forward to what’s in store for the near future.

More people will now be able to get more involved with turtle feeding.
