Jambo Community!!

No more forest and it is week two of my expedition. The forest was very nice and I enjoyed being in the woods with everyone.  But now it was time for community.
To be honest it was the part of the trip I was most nervous about.  After TEFL training, lots of lesson planning and sitting though a class I was feeling a lot more comfortable with the whole teaching the kids aspect.  It was my second day of actually going to class and I was walking to the first class of the day with Fran and she said that I should teach.  I was a little hesitant but then took up the challenge.

I am really happy that I decided to teach because I realized it was not hard and very enjoyable, more so then just assisting in class.  It is such a rewarding feeling when the kids understand what you are teaching them and just having all eyes on you, the pressure is on feeling is something I learned to enjoy.  I ended up teaching two classes in the end.  In both of which the kids seemed to grasp the subject material quite well actually which made me feel very successful.
Overall I loved working with the kids and seeing all of their smiling faces and hearing them answer questions and such.  It was an experience that I will surely never forget!
