GVI at the WIOMSA scientific symposium

The GVI Kenya Team recently submitted a selection of abstracts for presentation at the upcoming WIOMSA scientific symposium in Mombasa, which will be focused on the challenges marine conservation in the light of global change.

We will be presented how our Mangrove surveys have highlighted interesting initial results
Three Marine abstracts were accepted under the themes ‘Biodiversity and ecological processes’ and ‘Over-exploitation of resources’ from studies we have been carrying out in and around the KMMPA; including the Abundance and distribution of Humpback Dolphins, the Seasonal distribution of Sea Turtles, and the Biodiversity and utilisation of mangroves on the south coast of Kenya.

Preparations for the symposium are continuing through our usual expedition and we are all looking forward to the event itself!
