Are You The Difference?

Are You The Difference? is an international campaign inviting individuals to produce a short video showing how they make a difference through volunteering, either within their home country or overseas.

The videos should highlight the essence of volunteering – the fun – the rewards – the importance. As a collective they will inspire others to become part of the growing volunteer community. The most imaginative and inspiring video will win the opportunity to experience global volunteering through GVI ground operations around the world.

Imagine heading to the Seychelles to work on critical marine conservation projects whilst being taught to dive, before jetting to Laos to teach English to novice Buddhist monks. Or engage in first-class wildlife viewing in Africa, whilst volunteering on a research project in aid of large game conservation, after you have travelled the diverse countries of Central America, where you could volunteer at an orphanage in Honduras, a turtle conservation project in Costa Rica, or a construction project in Guatemala.

By the time your year has finished, you will see that You Are The Difference!

Who can enter? Absolutely anyone – You don’t have to have been a GVI volunteer, you don’t have to have volunteered overseas, and you can be from anywhere in the world. All you have to do is a video of up to 90 seconds max about why you ‘are the difference’ – i.e any volunteering, fundraising, running the local organizations, etc.

You can get more information in www.gvi.co.uk/are-you-the-difference

Good luck amigos!
